Life Choice Donor

LifeChoice is a not-for-profit, federally recognized organ procurement organization (OPO) and is a member of the United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS). Life Choice is accredited by the Association of Organ Procurement Organizations (AOPO) and serves 6 counties in Connecticut and 3 counties in Western Massachusetts. All costs involved with donation procedures are borne by the OPO. The Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (COBRA) is a federal law, effective, since 1986. COBRA gives an individual and his/her dependents, the benefits to continue availing the group health plan provided by the employers even after your job ends. Self Insured Plan

It is a plan in which the employer bear the individual’s medical care costs on a pay-as-you-go method. The employer decides what all benefits the individual may avail from the plan.
